The Book β€” Who is Bob the Blob?

Most online safety education in primary schools begins in Year 5 or later. But 80% of Australian children aged 8–12 are already using social media, and exposure to online harm is widespread well before high school. The conversation needs to start earlier β€” and Bob the Blob is written specifically for that window.

The book follows Bob β€” a quirky underwater creature who creates a fake online profile to make friends β€” and gently introduces children to online trust, personal information, digital strangers, and critical thinking. It is funny, age-appropriate, and deliberately designed to open a conversation rather than close one down with warnings and rules.
